Change Detection Research Database
Frequently Asked Questions
- What is change blindness?
Click here for an overview of change blindness
- Who created this page and why?
Daniel Simons created this page with the help of Rebecca Reimer. The primary purpose of the site is to provide the field with a resource for keeping up-to-date on published and ongoing change detection research. A primary goal is to allow help researchers (especially students) avoid being "scooped" because they were unaware of previous research on a topic. We hope that all researchers will assist in this process by regularly updating their pages as new papers are submitted or published.
- I'm a researcher who studies change detection. How can I get my information posted on this database?
Simple. You can submit your information by using this form (it will open in a new page). Once you have submitted the form, we will be able to add you to the site.
- I have a demo and/or link that is related to work on change detection. Could it be included in the database?
Yes. We are constantly in the process of looking for related links and demos. Please send your link to Daniel Simons at dsimons@wjh.harvard.edu.
- I have publications that are not directly related to change detection. Can I include them on my page in the database?
We would prefer that all references included on your page in the database either use change detection methodology or discuss theoretical issues directly related to change detection. Other references are not appropriate for the database, although your page in the database will include a link to your personal homepage so that visitors are able to gain information about your other interests and publications.
- I have a question that isn't on this page. Who can I ask?
Any questions about this database not answered here can be sent to Dan Simons at dsimons@wjh.harvard.edu.
